課程概述 |
In particular, two major themes are addressed in this course: (a) MNC’s responses to and interaction with environmental challenges: including environmental risks, cross-cultural management, MNC’s and government interactions; and (b) Managing MNC’s operations: including global strategy, structural arrangements, managing HQ-Sub relationships, international diversification, M&A, top management team, managing knowledge, and international entrepreneurship. |

This course is designed to familiarize doctoral students with current developments of theories and empirical research on the strategic and managerial issues facing MNC’s. |

課程要求 |
The course is in seminar format. Students are supposed to comprehend all the weekly reading assignments before the class begins, and are required to hand in a 3-page critique on the weekly assignments. The active participation by the students is also highly anticipated, and you will be assigned with papers to present and lead the discussion for each session. In addition, at the end of each topic, students are required to write an essay summarizing and integrating literature as well as providing critiques and future research suggestions. Finally, students are required to accomplish an academic paper toward the end of the class. You are asked to hand in an outline of the paper three weeks before the class ends, and make a presentation at the final week.
